THE SHADOWY SOUL ZODIAC
This piece is a symbolic meditation on ancestry, spiritual inheritance, and the invisible forces that shape human identity long before conscious choice begins. Rooted in my philosophy of Dotism, the painting explores the belief that every individual enters the world carrying not only a biological inheritance but also an unseen spiritual blueprint passed through generations.
The work imagines what I call the Soul’s Zodiac—a symbolic constellation of memories, emotions, character, and spiritual tendencies transmitted from ancestors to descendants. It suggests that identity is never created in isolation. Before we develop our own understanding of the world, we inherit patterns of perception, values, fears, hopes, and ways of interpreting reality that silently influence our lives.
The composition unfolds through concentric circular formations and layered abstract structures that evoke galaxies, celestial movements, and endless cycles of transformation. These circles symbolize the continuity of existence, where ancestral energies dissolve, evolve, and reappear within new generations. Darkness functions not as a symbol of evil but of the unseen—those hidden dimensions of memory and inherited consciousness that remain beyond ordinary perception.
At the heart of the painting lies an inquiry into freedom itself. Rather than presenting freedom solely as a political or material condition, the work proposes that our earliest understanding of freedom is filtered through inherited spiritual experiences. The invisible legacy carried within each person shapes how reality is perceived, how choices are made, and how personal identity is formed. In this sense, every human being begins life within an inherited framework that both offers possibilities and imposes limitations.
Rather than offering definitive answers, Shadowy Soul Zodiac invites contemplation. It encourages viewers to reflect on the invisible heritage they carry, to question the origins of their beliefs and perceptions, and to consider whether true freedom begins with recognizing the ancestral patterns that silently guide human existence. Through this reflection, the work becomes an invitation to awaken beyond inherited boundaries while honoring the generations from which every life emerges.
